Welcome to the S.S.L. Home Page
This is the home page of the Scottish Soccer League (Chart Soccer), which is run using Chart Soccer rules based on the original game by LOGacta, using Excel/Google Sheets to simulate the results and produce the league tables, cup competitions and draws. This site is the archive of the extant results (many have been lost over time), league tables and honours lists from the S.S.L.
Currently, the S.S.L. comprises 76 clubs, arranged in four tiers. The top two tiers comprise the First and Second Divisions, which have 16 clubs each. These divisions are played out using the LOGacta style Fixtures and Results charts in Google Sheets. There is also a cup competition involving these 32 teams called the Summer Cup, a knock-out competition with mini-leagues followed by straight knockout play-offs. The third tier comprises 10 clubs in one, national section. The fourth tier comprises 34 clubs split into two sections, North and South. The third and fourth tiers are not played out using the charts and are just surmised from real life league positions. All 76 clubs take part in the Albion Cup, a straight knockout competition akin to the Scottish Cup. In the past, different setups have been used. For more information on this and the history of the S.S.L., see About the S.S.L.
